Energy from Waste

Energy from Waste Civil and Structural Engineering Design

The implementation of landfill diversion targets over the past 20 years has created a rise in energy from waste initiatives, with the aim of meeting modern emissions standards and providing low carbon forms of energy from waste, including electricity, heat and transport fuels such as diesel.

Doran Consulting has provided civil and structural engineering design services on a number of energy from waste facilities, including those involved in anaerobic digestion, combustion of non-hazardous waste and subsequent energy recovery and waste-to-fuel conversion.

We have provided detailed structural design services for the primary processing buildings and installations including reinforced  bunkers or pits and process interfaces, and also on related ancillary structures including internal offices and external fuel tanks. Civil engineering design services have also been provided for related site roads and hardstandings.
