Campbell Davis joined Doran
Consulting in 1988 after completing a PhD and was appointed a Partner in 2003
(title updated to Director following the company’s incorporation in 2005). He
has in excess of 30 years’ experience in a range of civil engineering disciplines with a
focus on marine structures, bridges and river engineering. His areas of expertise include harbour and marine structures, coastal protection works, dredging, underwater
inspections, condition inspections, structural and load capacity assessments, concrete
repair & refurbishment, heavy civil & structural engineering in
association with reinforced concrete and structural steel design, bridge assessment and design, river & canal engineering and Flood Risk Assessments.
Campbell has acted as Project Director on a wide and varied range of major Marine & Port Infrastructure projects throughout the UK and Ireland including Belfast Harbour, Portrush, Kilkeel, Portavogie, Ardglass, Dublin Port, Wicklow, GreenPort Hull, Tilbury2 & Killybegs Donegal.
Campbell has extensive experience in the inspection, assessment and refurbishment of existing bridges as well as the design of new bridges. He leads the company’s Bridge Team which undertakes work throughout the UK and Ireland. The team are appointed to several bridge frameworks for Translink, Transport Infrastructure Ireland and numerous local Councils throughout Ireland.
