Wastewater Treatment Design Projects
Doran Consulting has considerable experience and expertise in the field of wastewater treatment. Projects are taken from appraisal stage, when water demand and population projections are analysed, to extract relevant data to establish flows and loads. We advise on site selection, planning issues and statutory approvals; provide process and hydraulic design; contract procurement, financial management, construction supervision, plant commissioning and site acceptance tests.
Our dedicated water design team have recently worked on over 100 wastewater treatment schemes. They have experience of various treatment processes, and are able to determine the process solution best suited to the needs of a particular project. Our team has undertaken projects ranging in size from design population equivalents of 200 up to 45,000 and include a wide diversity of processes including percolating filters, rotating biological contactors, conventional activated sludge, membrane bio-reactors, sequential batch reactors and reed beds. Solutions range from refurbishment works to complete new builds. We also advise on compliance issues such as the Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive, the Bathing Waters Directive and all European water management legislation.
