Our Traffic team advises on transport and traffic impact and environmental matters, presents evidence at public inquiries and planning appeals and has access to specialists in relation to planning, environmental and public transport issues.
Since 1993, we have undertaken numerous Transport Assessments and Traffic Impact Assessments for both public and private sector clients, in support of planning applications for a variety of development types including airport, education, health, hotel, housing, industry, leisure, office, retail and mixed-use.
The assessments are undertaken in accordance with the Institution of Highways & Transportation Guidelines and Roads Service Guidelines. We have recently become involved in the preparation of Travel Plans, also known as Green Transport Plans, in support of planning applications.
Studies undertaken on behalf of the DRD Roads Service include the Vehicle Kilometres of Travel Survey of Northern Ireland and major transportation studies for Ballymena, Lisburn, Londonderry and Omagh. We have also been involved in the Westlink Busway Feasibility Study, Belfast for the Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company.
