Karen Dolan joined Doran Consulting in 1996 and was appointed to the post of Associate in 2004. She has over 20 years’ experience in civil engineering design and project management with particular expertise in Principal Designer Services and Health & Safety.
Karen’s Principal Designer experience ranges from new sports and leisure complexes, new education facilities, new office blocks, refurbishment projects, health estates projects, redevelopment of airports, new port and harbour refurbishment works, public health and infrastructure projects.
Recent key projects for which Karen has provided Principal Designer services include Project Curium London Luton Airport comprising new departures pier and terminal extension, City Quays development Belfast (5 & 7 storey office blocks and 188 bedroom hotel), Omagh Hospital (primary, secondary and community healthcare) and the construction of a new teaching block at University of Ulster Magee, comprising lecture theatres, teaching rooms and hub areas.
Karen’s civil engineering design and project management experience ranges from project design of water treatment schemes, to design, contract documentation and administration of water supply, sewerage, wastewater treatment schemes, harbour refurbishment and leisure projects.
In addition to providing Principal Designer services to clients, Karen oversees the company’s Health & Safety procedures and provides H&S training to staff.
