Commercial Engineering Projects
Doran Consulting has long standing expertise in providing civil and structural engineering design services for a range of commercial projects, including hotels and office blocks, in a wide variety of locations, including several local landmark developments.
We have provided design advice in relation to several key city centre hotel developments including the Park Inn on Clarence Street West, the Ibis Etap Hotel on the Dublin Road and the Radisson Hotel in the Gasworks. These projects required the design and construction of multi-storey hotel facilities with associated amenities including office space and car parking in often constrained spaces in busy commercial areas with both built and natural environment factors to be taken into consideration such as existing neighbouring properties, past use of the land and culverted rivers.
Doran Consulting has also been commissioned to act on a number of office development projects including the landmark Bar Library and Offices in central Belfast beside the courts, which required library and conference facilities as well as secured office space. Other key projects have included specialist mixed-use commercial developments such as the Post Office’s Regional Mail Centre at Mallusk, which required the design of a large warehouse and sorting facility, incorporating office space and staff areas.
