Opening Day of Marrowbone Millennium Park

Doran Consulting are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Marrowbone Park project, where Doran Consulting were appointed as the Economic Operator, Project Managers, Civil and Structural Engineers, Principal Designers, and Site Supervisors.
The project involved the refurbishment and redevelopment of Marrowbone Millennium Park, situated on the Oldpark Road in North Belfast. The project has culminated in the reopening of the park, now boasting a range of outstanding amenities:
- An IFA intermediate standard 3G pitch
- A pavilion with 128 spectator seats, a multi-use community space, and accessible changing facilities
- A new play park
- A multi-use games area
- An outdoor gym
- A community events space
In addition to these fantastic facilities, the redevelopment included an array of landscape interventions, improved entrances, and a new 2.4m boundary fencing. The project has brought new life to the community space, offering both physical and recreational opportunities for local residents.
We are proud to have been part of this project, which was made possible through the collaboration of The Executive Office’s Urban Villages Initiative, Belfast City Council, the Department for Communities, and the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
