Secondary School Engineering Design
Doran Consulting has provided a range of design services in relation to a number of new-build and refurbishment of existing secondary schools across Northern Ireland.
We have provided services for a number of renowned local academic providers across the country, with the delivery of modern teaching establishments equipped with high specification technology and science teaching blocks, arts and drama facilities designed to maximise key related elements including acoustics and aesthetic appearance, and state-of-the-art sports facilities including indoor gyms and outdoor pitches.
We have provided a full programme of design advice in relation to a variety of sites, some of which included specific challenges such as sloping topography and potential flood risks. Features such as rainwater harvesting for foul drainage and maximisation of natural light were utilised where possible to make buildings as environmentally efficient as possible.
