Roll-On Roll-Off Ferry Facility, Warrenpoint

As part of a larger development programme, Warrenpoint Harbour Authority wished to upgrade the RO-RO facilities at the harbour. The proposed works involved removal of the existing hydraulic RO-RO ramp and provision of a new floating pontoon with ballasting capabilities and link span bridge. The associated civil engineering works involved dredging, land reclamation and construction of new bank seats and mooring dolphins.

As Project Managers on this Design & Build contract, Royal Haskoning, London, appointed Doran Consulting to provide planning supervision, site supervision and project co-ordination services including all statutory consents required for the works from Environment & Heritage Service.
