Victoria Square Shopping Centre, Woking, Surrey
Doran Consulting has been commissioned to provide structural and civil engineering design advice in relation to the construction of this new retail and leisure development in the centre of Woking in Surrey. The new shopping centre will cover the site previously occupied by 2 separate shopping facilities, namely the Peacock Shopping Centre and Wolsey Place Shopping Centre.
This new mixed-use development will provide 125,000ft2 of new retail floorspace, a 200 room four star hotel with conference facilities, spa and gym, 400 new residential apartments, additional car parking and two new public plazas.
Part of this redevelopment programme will also require changes to the pedestrian and vehicle traffic movement in the town centre. It is envisaged that the development will be fully operational by the close of 2020.
