Antrim Library

Doran Consulting was appointed to provide structural and civil engineering design services for a new library building on a brown field site.

Antrim Library is a 2-storey steel framed building with an irregular grid. It houses a double storey library space, offices, conference room and a café. The building includes many architectural features including roof lights, overhangs and a terraced area on the first floor. The drainage scheme included rain water harvesting and a petrol interceptor.

The project achieved a Very Good BREEAM rating.
