Lough Nagarnaman, Co. Monaghan
Lough Nagarnaman WTW treats water abstracted from Lough Nagarnaman and Lough Egish to supply the Donaghmoyne area.
This upgrade was carried out to provide the Donaghmoyne area with 4Ml/day (maximum flow), which were being treated to EC compliance for the following 20 years.
The new works were procured on a Design & Build and operate basis using FIDIC Contract conditions, for the Doaghmoyne Group Water Scheme. The new works were programmed to ensure that output of the lough into supply was maintained until the new works were commissioned.
New inlet works were provided to abstract and screen the inflow, with this water being transferred via new pumps to the head of the works. Treated water is then transferred via new high lift pumps to the existing service reservoir.
