Hillcrest Sewerage Scheme, Aughnacloy, Co Tyrone
Doran Consulting was commissioned by NI Water to design foul sewerage, a pumping main and pumping station to facilitate the decommissioning of Hillcrest WwTW and the transfer of flows to the new Aughnacloy WwTW.
We undertook the detailed design and contract administration of the scheme, and provided site supervision and CDM co-ordination.
The works involved the construction of a pumping station with screened emergency overflow, approximately 200m of foul sewers and 160m of MDPE pumping main. A Combined Storm Overflow on the new sewerage included provision of a hydraulically driven overflow screen to return screenings larger than 6mm to the flow.
