Doran Consulting was commissioned by the University of Ulster to provide civil and structural engineering services in connection with the development of the Sports Institute for Northern Ireland (SINI) at Jordanstown to cater for the development and training of Northern Ireland's elite athletes.
The facilities include an indoor sport track with facilities for jumps and throws and an indoor 2nd generation synthetic pitch. The outdoor facilities include the upgrading and provision of sand mattress playing pitches for rugby, football and gaelic games and a water based synthetic hockey pitch.
